Terms of Service

Swapfile is operated by Shreyas Gupta, a sole proprietor based in India ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Swapfile you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You confirm you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and that if you are using Swapfile on behalf of an organisation you have authority to bind it.

Swapfile converts files between formats. Free accounts get 2 conversions per day on our self-hosted tools; the one-time Lifetime purchase removes that limit; the Premium subscription adds conversions processed by our external conversion partner. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Swapfile within the plan you have selected.

You must own or have the rights to the files you convert. You must not use Swapfile for unlawful content, fraud or spam, malware, copyright infringement, attempts to probe or interfere with our security, automated scraping, reverse engineering, resale or redistribution of the service, or circumvention of plan limits.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate account information.

You keep all rights to the files you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process and temporarily host those files solely to deliver the conversion you requested. If a rights holder tells us content infringes their rights we will remove it, and we may suspend accounts that infringe repeatedly.

We retain ownership of Swapfile, including its software, branding and documentation. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, currency, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. The Lifetime unlock is a one-time payment with no recurring charges. Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time. See our Refund Policy.

We work to keep Swapfile available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Conversions are provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Always keep a copy of your original files.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Swapfile is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where that exclusion is not permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using Swapfile at any time. When access ends we delete your account data; download anything you need first.

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
